In Papakura, we are proactive about emergency preparedness. The Papakura Emergency Readiness and Response Plan has been developed collaboratively with our community to ensure that we’re well-prepared and resilient in the face of increasing climate-related emergencies and other potential hazards.

This plan is a community-driven initiative supported by the Papakura Local Board and Auckland Emergency Management. Its primary purpose is to help us understand local hazards, enhance community awareness, and provide clear guidance on how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
We invite all community members to familiarize themselves with the plan to strengthen our collective resilience and ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in Papakura.
